Duty Manager - The HWY

The HWY Hotel is seeking an experienced full-time Duty Manager to join our management and leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership and help lead one of Adelaide's favourite local hospitality destinations.

 Featuring a lively lounge and sports bar, gaming room, quality dining offerings, function and entertainment spaces, and retail outlet, this role will suit a hands-on leader who enjoys motivating teams, driving service excellence, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

·        Lead day-to-day operations of the bar and front-of-house service areas

·        Drive exceptional guest experiences through outstanding service standards and venue presentation

·        Manage and support bar staff during busy service periods, fostering a positive and high-performing team culture

·        Deliver strong beverage knowledge and assist in maintaining quality product offerings

·        Monitor and maintain compliance with RSA, gaming, liquor licensing, and hotel policies

·        Assist with venue-wide operational management as required, including coordinating service across multiple departments

What We're Looking For

·        Previous experience in a Bar Manager, Duty Manager, or hospitality leadership role

·        Strong leadership and communication skills

·        Proven ability to manage high-volume bar operations in a fast-paced environment

·        Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

·        Genuine passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences

·        Current RSA and Responsible Persons Badge (desirable)

·        Gaming experience and relevant gaming badges will be highly regarded but are not essential
