Description

Wynyard Grill (wynyardgrill.co.nz) is looking for 4 full-time permanent duty managers to join our incredible team and award winning restaurant. We are located in the Auckland CBD (Wynyard Quarter by the Viaduct Harbour)
We are a fun and hard working crew. Hours will be five days a week, various shifts Monday to Sunday, normally 2/4pm-10pm or 11am-8pm for 30 to 40 hours per week.
Competitive salary based on experience level, shared tips based on hours worked (around $200 per month per person), monthly bonuses for meeting targets, 50% discounts for staff, family and partners, free drinks and meals on busy nights.
Prefer experience in fine dining service but willing to train the right candidate.
Duty manager certificate also preferred but will pay for one to be obtained.
Summary of job duties
1) Serve customers in the bar area in accordance with the protocol set forth in the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012
2) Assist restaurant manager with roster creation
3) Ask for and communicate regularly with other staff to gain feedback from customers and staff, and work with head chef to constantly improve product quality
4) Put away deliveries and check against invoices
5) Ensure all staff are compliant with Liquor Licensing regulations
6) Keep a clean working area and ensure that all equipment, surface areas, floors and bar appliances are tidy, sanitary and in like new condition
7) Assist staff on the floor serving customers
8) Monitor and document fridge and freezer temperatures to ensure that they remain within allowable limits under New Zealand Health and Safety laws
9) Complete daily incident report and advise restaurant manager of any issues or problems with deliveries, equipment, customers, or staff
10) Complete monthly stocktake reports
11) Monitor, document and take measures to prevent wastage of alcohol stock
12) Perform daily and weekly checklists as instructed by restaurant manager
13) Ensure highest standard of customer service
14) Prepare and pour all cold drinks according to recipes provided
