  • Part time 0.5FTE fixed term covering parental leave to May 2025 (Potential for an additional 0.2FTE on further discussion)
  • Senior RN with extensive nursing experience either clinically or in a relevant senior nursing role
  • Autonomous role responsible for the co-ordination and management of patient flow processes for Christchurch Hospital

You will have:

  • Broad “acute” clinical experience and excellent collaborative skills that will enable you to communicate effectively across all disciplines and occupational groups.
  • Extensive nursing experience either clinically or in a relevant senior nursing role.
  • Expert clinical nursing knowledge with demonstrated leadership ability and sound people management skills.
  • A solution focused approach to your work with the ability to problem solve and think on your feet.
  • A NZ Registered Nurse with current Annual Practising Certificate

Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced senior Registered Nurse with a passion to join our Senior Nursing Team as a Duty Nurse Manager on a fixed term basis within Nursing Support Services.
The Nursing Support Team provides cover to all clinical areas, including medical, surgical, paediatrics, women’s health, and emergency care at Christchurch Hospital.
In this role you will work autonomously and be responsible for the co-ordination and management of patient flow processes for Christchurch Hospital: weekdays, after hours, weekends and Public Holidays. You will demonstrate a wide-ranging career expertise and a pragmatic, organised approach with an obvious passion to multitask and make sound decisions on the go. These skills will be key to your success in this interesting, challenging, and varied role.
