Student Employment at Delaware Valley University   Departments Supported:     Office of Accessibility Services (OAS) and Center for Student Professional Development                                                   (CSPD) Location:                               Segal Hall  Reports To:                           Administrative Coordinator Job Summary: The student employee provides primary clerical and administrative support through coordinating testing services through the Office of Accessibility Services, as well as acting as receptionist for the Center for Student Professional Development.   Primary Responsibilities for OAS office: 1.    Participate in training with OAS Staff at beginning of semester and as needed 2.    Utilize TEAMS as first line of communication with Student Staff Supervisor and others in office as needed 3.    Staff Segal Hall Reception Desk in rotation with other Segal Hall Student Staff 4.    Complete check-in process with students who have signed up to utilize testing services through the Office of Accessibility Services.  5.    Create testing envelopes for upcoming exams to be taken in the testing schedule.  6.    Creating a daily schedule of testing pulled from the full semester testing schedule. 7.    Ensure completed exams are returned to the Administrative Coordinator as soon as the test is completed.   8.    Check technology on a daily basis to ensure it is working properly. 9.    Check testing spaces at the end of each day to ensure they are in order for the next day 10.    Respond to student questions and funnel to appropriate personnel. Primary Responsibilities for CSPD office: 1.    Participate in training with CSPD Staff at beginning of semester and as needed 2.    Utilize TEAMS as first line of communication with Student Staff Supervisor and other members of CSPD staff  3.    Staff Segal Hall Reception Desk in rotation with other Segal Hall Student Staff. Use ExperienceLink kiosk to check in students for scheduled appointments with CSPD staff, for testing, or for other purposes. 4.    Answer CSPD and Segal Hall Reception Desk phones as needed and successfully transfer calls to staff, or address concerns as able. 5.    Provide staff with the student perspective in order to assess effectiveness of CSPD events and resources, increase student engagement with the CSPD, and develop new strategies to engage the student body 6.  Perform the following additional administrative duties as needed: o    data entry o    email merges o    spreadsheet management 7.  Actively support students seeking services of CSPD office to include: o    Greet students, inquire about their questions/needs o    Ensure all students sign in for appointments accurately via ExperienceLink kiosk. o    Invite students to make an appointment if you cannot answer their questions o    Serve as a resource to answer basic questions about the Experience360 Program (E360) and resources: Summarize requirements, guidelines, and provide answers to frequently asked questions o    Serve as a resource to answer basic questions about accommodations at Delval and how to start the process.  o    Refer students to appropriate staff as needed   8.  Actively support external employers using services of CSPD: o    Answer employer questions, take detailed messages or transfer calls to appropriate staff member o    Greet employers in a professional manner, including walk-ins and appointments  Working Conditions and Frequently Used Tools:  •    Office - Segal Hall - Accessibility Services Office, Testing Center •    Use of computer, copier/scanner, technology software and programs •    Typically sitting at a desk or table majority of time •    Occasional lifting, 25 lbs or less  Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  •    Must be current, actively enrolled in an academic program (undergraduate or graduate) at Delaware Valley University  •    Excellent verbal and written communication skills •    Strong customer service, organizational, and problem-solving abilities •    Must have an understanding and respect that all sensitive information must be kept confidential •    Ability to effectively work and respectfully interact with others to foster an inclusive and welcoming environment Work Schedule •    Must be able to work within the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday.
