JOB SUMMARY

This posting was originally announced 07/22/2025 - 07/28/2025 and is being re-announced for additional applications.
To provide administrative support for District 2500 in the areas of DWI report processing (eCharging) and prosecution, records management, fatal & serious crash file management, payroll & contracted services backup and support to district investigators. This position independently provides duplication and library services so accurate and reliable recordings are created for prosecutors, courts and other agencies and with support to all district personnel.
The Department of Public Safety is unable to provide sponsorship for work visas. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States at the start of employment. DPS does not participate in E-Verify.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Skill in customer service sufficient to provide prompt and accurate information to customers in person, on the phone, and through email and other written or electronic correspondence.
  • Knowledge of standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases sufficient to create, modify and protect files.
  • Knowledge of the structure and purpose of policies and procedures sufficient to develop and use them in a public sector environment.
  • Skill in customer service to respond effectively to clients, coworkers, and customers who have questions about agency operations and procedures (in person, in writing, on the phone, and through presentations and other electronic correspondence).
  • Skill in customer service to respectfully engage with clients, coworkers, and customers, when handling difficult or complex problems and resolving escalated complaints or disputes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of BCA eCharging, Self-Service, CAD, data privacy rules, policies and procedures.
  • Experience with database management and multi-line telephone systems.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and underserved communities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Very Light: Requires occasionally moving and transporting such articles as file folders and small tools. May need to maintain a stationary position for long periods of time while carrying out job duties.
