Description Sigvaris is currently looking for Dyeing Technician I to join our team in Peachtree City, GA. Reporting directly to the Supervisor, the Dyeing Technician I is responsible to effectively and efficiently dye different types of fabrics and operate Dyeing machines by following established procedures and work instructions. SHIFT: • Monday to Friday: 3rd shift - 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. • During training (first few weeks of employment), schedule will be Monday to Friday during the 1st shift - 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. PAY PLUS BONUSES: • $20.89 per hour with an increase every six months during the first year of employment, plus shift differential • Opportunity to earn $100 Attendance Bonus payments per quarter.* *Subject to Company's Attendance Policy. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Follows established ISO procedures and work instructions in order to properly and efficiently dye different types of fabrics to match company developed color standards. • Weighs multiple types of Dyes and Chemicals to match color formula recipes. • Verifies color standard via Color Matching Photo Spectrometer. • Works toward company and departmental goals by continuously improving color matching techniques to maintain efficient run times. • Operates multiple machines simultaneously maintaining highest level of quality. • Provides training to new employees and cross trains existing employees. • Cross trains in multiple departments throughout the manufacturing area. • Assists in the Year End and Monthly Cycle Counts as instructed in accordance with set procedures and planning schedules. • Keeps work area clean as it pertains to our 6S company and departmental goas, checking all labels to ensure that they are visible. • Maintains a safe work environment, including Personal Safety Equipment (i.e. Gloves, Aprons and Glasses). • Monthly Safety Meetings: All employees will be required to attend monthly safety meetings with their supervisor. Each month, we will cover a different topic, all of which are designed to help ensure the safest possible working environment. • Fosters positive morale among staff, by promotion of open communication with all departments, to help create and maintain an innovative and cooperative staff relationship and environment. o Interacts with external and internal customers in a timely manner conducive to continued positive relationships. o Displays patience, courtesy and tact; demonstrates flexibility, enthusiasm and willingness to cooperate while working with others or in place of others as necessary. • Demonstrates effective communication methods. o Supervisor and/or appropriate management staff are kept informed of developments affecting their functions. o Responds quickly to all oral and written communications. o Maintains and encourages an open line of communication with both internal and external customers. o Accurately and legibly presents written data to affected internal/external customers. • Follows established company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SIGVARIS policies, industry standards, ISO 13485 standards, 6S and Lean Manufacturing, and Federal, State and local laws. • Assists with the implementation of Lean/Kaizen initiatives or events in the department. • Follows all work instructions, creates and maintains accurate records to meet all internal and external requirements to support the SIGVARIS Quality System and Quality Policy. • Accurately performs any other duties and responsibilities as assigned to ensure an efficient workflow. Requirements EDUCATION and WORK EXPERIENCE: • A high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in textile manufacturing, utilizing dyeing processes, preferred. CRITICAL SKILLS: • Strict attention to detail • Thinking and reasoning skills • Observation and recording skills PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This job operates in a manufacturing environment. • Regularly required to walk and stand for long periods of time. • Must have the ability to reach and lift up to 20 pounds. • Finger dexterity and hand coordination required. • Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus. • Must have the ability to work in cold in the winter and heat during the summer months.
