Dyno Technician | MARTIN Technologies – Dearborn, MI
From record-shattering race cars to next-gen defense vehicles, MARTIN Technologies is the performance lab trusted by the world’s boldest engineers. Our state-of-the-art dynamometer facilities transform raw prototypes into proven powertrains—and we’re looking for a Dyno Technician who’s ready to turn data into dominance.

Your Mission

  • Build the test arena – install engines or complete vehicles on engine and chassis dynos, integrating fuel, cooling, exhaust, electrical, and data links with surgical precision.
  • Run definitive tests – execute validation and durability programs, monitor live data streams, and capture every RPM, torque spike, and emission profile that matters.
  • Keep uptime absolute – troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues fast to keep the cell running and results flowing.
  • Fine-tune performance – partner with engineers to refine test parameters, push prototypes to their limits, and deliver insights that shape next-generation powertrains.
  • Guard the lab edge – perform preventative maintenance and calibrations on dyno systems, sensors, and support equipment.
  • Document like an architect – record setups, part swaps, test anomalies, and breakthrough findings with clarity and rigor.

Your Toolkit

  • High-school diploma required; associate or technical degree in Automotive/Mechanical Technology preferred.
  • 1–3 years in engine or chassis testing, performance tuning, or advanced diagnostics.
  • Solid grasp of internal-combustion fundamentals and basic electrical systems.
  • Hands-on familiarity with dynamometers, data-acquisition software, or emissions analyzers is highly valued.
  • Welding/fabrication skills, CAN-bus/DAQ experience, or emission-cert lab exposure? Even better.
  • Safety-first attitude, sharp troubleshooting instincts, and crisp communication skills.

Why MARTIN Technologies

  • Competitive pay structure – earn what your expertise is worth, with overtime potential.
  • Full health, dental, and vision coverage – your well-being fuels our innovation.
  • Generous PTO & paid holidays – balance peak performance with rest and recovery.
  • Limitless growth – formal dyno training, mentorship from industry veterans, and a clear path to senior technical roles.
  • Diverse, high-impact projects – automotive, marine, aerospace, and defense programs keep every day fresh and every challenge worthy.
