POSITION SUMMARY

As a DZ Truck Driver your responsible for transporting a variety of cargo on a trailer while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and securing loads properly. Your role includes conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, managing delivery schedules, and operating the vehicle safely on various routes.

ALONG WITH THE FOLLOWING SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Moves products from point A to point B using truck and any other safe handling equipment required.
  • Responsible for the safe delivery of product at the time specified by customers.
  • Provides high value products goods transportation in a safe, efficient and professional manner, while following applicable regulations and collective agreement
  • Performs circle checks, tie downs and supervises loading and unloading of goods and materials as required
  • Uses safe handling equipment i.e. dollies, pump trucks, J- bars, stair climbs or roll-a-lifts etc. for handling heavier items
  • Handles customer shipments
  • Receives and relays information to dispatch in a professional manner under various circumstances
  • Communicates with both internal and external customers
  • Ensures accuracy and record all deliveries on timesheet
  • Promote Health and Safety of all employees by ensuring all incidents, accidents or potential hazards are reported
  • Performs other duties as required

  • Making deliveries in a safe and timely manner
  • Constant communication with the customer
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cargo securement, and report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs
