Salary Range: $22 – $23 per hour

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced and reliable DZ Driver with a minimum of 3 years of verifiable truck driving experience. The successful candidate will operate straight trucks on local or regional routes, ensuring safe and timely delivery of goods. This role requires daily loading and unloading using a manual pump truck, adherence to safety regulations, and a strong commitment to customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Ontario DZ Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract.
  • Minimum of 3 years of verifiable truck driving experience (straight truck experience required).
  • Proven ability to operate and maneuver large vehicles in urban, suburban, and industrial areas.
  • Experience in manual freight handling with pump trucks.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle safety checks and preventive maintenance.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up and work in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities
  • Operate DZ-class straight trucks safely and efficiently on assigned routes.
  • Drive an average of 8–10 hours per day, maintaining compliance with hours-of-service regulations.
  • Load and unload freight using a manual pump truck, ensuring goods are handled with care.
  • Inspect vehicle before and after trips, documenting and reporting mechanical issues.
  • Verify and secure freight prior to departure to prevent damage during transit.
  • Complete all required delivery paperwork accurately, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
  • Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery progress, delays, or route changes.
  • Follow company safety protocols, traffic laws, and transportation regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries.
