JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid commercial driver’s license DZ or A Restricted is preferred; experience with commercial driving is a plus.
• Proven experience operating heavy equipment and forklifts safely.
• Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
• Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or maintenance tasks.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

  Driver qualifications:
  · Valid DZ or A-Restricted License in Ontario
  · Clean Driver Abstract CVOR
  · Experience with flat bed
  · Capable of assisting with loading and unloading
  · Capable of heavy lifting

Capable of using Electronic GPS device (Elog)
Perform daily inspections and report all maintenance issues.
* Ensure proper loading, securing and unloading of goods.
* Maintain accurate logs and delivery records.
* Comply with all traffic laws, safety standards
* Assist with general warehouse labour duties as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$27.01 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

• Operate various types of vehicles, including trucks and forklifts, to transport freight and heavy equipment.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in safe operating condition.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and fuel consumption.
• Follow designated routes while making timely deliveries to customers or job sites.
• Communicate effectively with supers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, including minor automotive repairs as needed.
