Job Description Job DescriptionDesign and develop components for the e-axle thermal management system, including electric oil pumps, filtration systems, and heat exchangers.Create and maintain technical documentation, including component specifications and design failure mode and effects analysis (DFMEA) for the e-axle thermal management system, including electric oil pumps, filtration systems, and heat exchangers.Create detailed 2D and 3D models of mechanical components and systems using CAD software such as UG-Nx.Draft the mechanical architecture for e-axle systems based on customer requirements and internal design standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers, to ensure seamless integration of components.Develop and execute design verification plans and test methods to validate the performance and reliability of thermal systems.Manage supplier relationships and project timelines to ensure on-time delivery of components within budget.Stay up to date with the latest advancements in electric vehicle technology, thermal management, and manufacturing processes. To prepare the design guideline documents, design standards etc for these components.Stakeholder management b/w Design, Purchase, Supplier, Quality team.Evaluation of component changes (impact on functionality, assembly, quality, manufacturability, costs, timing) DRBFM and FMEA of assembly and product Responsibility for holding or improving component costs (PPC) Prepare documentation and decision for change process (CCB/ECM).Mandatory Skills Knowledge of pumps, heat exchangers and filters. Knowledge of automotive related thermal and hydraulic phenomena in theory and praxis Experience in Requirement definition and interpretation Basic knowledge of using a 3D modelling software like UG-Nx. Experience in understanding 2D drawings. Knowledge (or willingness to learn) e-Axle cooling and lubrication methods Basic knowledge in relevant materials, norms and test procedures Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to deal independently with customers (OEMs), suppliers and in-house stakeholders.
