Trustpoint is proud to partner with a nationally-respected litigation law firm in their search for an E-Billing Specialist on a direct hire basis in their DC office. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the client billing cycle. The firm offers a collaborative and supportive environment, hybrid schedule after introductory period, and competitive compensation and benefits package.

​​​​​​​Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and distributing weekly, quarterly, and year-end reports for clients
  • Reviewing and distributing pre-bills to billing attorneys
  • Applying firm and client-specific billing guidelines and ensuring matter engagement letter compliance
  • Communicating effectively with attorneys, secretaries, and clients in a decentralized billing environment
  • Providing prompt and efficient Aderant technical support to billing secretaries and attorneys throughout the billing cycle to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Assisting with implementation and maintenance of electronic billing for new and existing clients, including establishing e-billing rates and assisting billing attorneys with timekeeper rate table submissions
  • Partnering with attorneys to resolve client billing inquiries through research and timely, accurate responses
  • Setting up and training new billing secretaries to generate monthly bills efficiently
  • Reviewing and verifying the accuracy of billing and supporting documentation as needed

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of client billing experience in a large law firm
  • Bachelor’s degree (strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency with a variety of electronic billing (E-billing) platforms such as Datacert, Counselink, TyMetrix, Collaborati, Legal Tracker, Allegient, etc.
  • Prior experience with Aderant Expert and Appshell, including billing, client/matter management, quicklook inquiries, reporting, and billing rates is highly desirable
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, multi-task, and organize workflow efficiently
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Additional Details:

  • Non-exempt position, typical hours 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., overtime may be required
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Hybrid work schedule available after introductory period
