E-Commerce Account Manager
Department: Marketing
Reports to: Senior E-Commerce Manager
Location: Lower Mainland OR Greater Seattle Region
Hours of Work: Full-Time

Your Role at Petcurean: The E-Commerce Account Manager is responsible for driving growth across all e-commerce channels and markets by managing key vendor relationships, overseeing promotional strategies, sales forecasting, and ensuring product availability. This position will be instrumental in the development of consumer acquisition strategies and work collaboratively with internal teams to align sales, marketing, and operations strategies to meet organizational goals. The E-Commerce Account Manager will manage day-to-day vendor communication, oversee sales tracking and reporting, and ensure smooth logistics coordination, contributing directly to the overall e-commerce performance.
If you were the E-Commerce Account Manager now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
Vendor and Key Account Management
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key e-commerce vendors and accounts to drive growth and sales.
- Manage vendor onboarding, product setup, and ongoing product delivery processes.
- Serve as the primary contact for all vendor-related inquiries, ensuring smooth communication and efficient operations.
- Negotiate contracts, manage vendor expectations, and resolve issues to strengthen partnerships
Sales Forecasting and Performance Analysis
- Lead sales forecasting efforts to predict demand shifts and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Conduct regular performance analysis, including tracking daily and weekly sales metrics, and adjusting promotional strategies based on data.
- Provide detailed reports on sales performance, tracking ROI and promotional effectiveness, and offer recommendations for improvement.
Promotional Strategy and Execution
- Collaborate with marketing to align promotional strategies, ensuring the coordination of marketing efforts, paid ads, and other consumer acquisition tactics.
- Oversee the execution of promotional activities, ensuring on-time launches and alignment with internal budgets and forecasts.
- Continuously monitor the performance of promotions, analyze data, and adjust strategies as needed to achieve sales goals.
Operations and Logistics Coordination
- Ensure product availability across all platforms by working closely with supply chain, warehouse, and customer service teams.
- Manage logistics coordination across borders to ensure timely product delivery and minimize stock-outs or delays.
- Oversee the product transition process, including new product introductions, discontinuations, and platform migrations, ensuring that stock and product information is updated appropriately.
New Business Development
- Identify opportunities for expansion into new platforms or markets, driving business development efforts through strategic partnerships and new product offerings.
- Lead contract negotiations for new platform integrations and vendor agreements
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with the marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure a seamless integration of e-commerce initiatives into the company’s overall strategy.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize sales campaigns and ensure product data is accurate across all e-commerce platforms.

- Proven ability to drive sales through strategic planning, relationship-building, and targeted promotional activities
- Demonstrates the ability to effectively negotiate terms and agreements, balancing the needs of all parties while achieving favorable outcomes. Skilled in building rapport, handling objections, and finding creative solutions to complex challenges
- Ability to work closely with internal teams (marketing, operations, finance) and external partners to achieve shared business goals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights and sales strategies clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining focus on strategic objectives.
- Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and implement strategies to address challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
- Agile and proactive, able to adjust strategies quickly in response to changes in the e-commerce landscape.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with e-commerce platforms and tools.
Are you our next E-Commerce Account Manager? Here are some of our must-haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
- 8+ years of experience in e-commerce, sales, and business development, including:
- 2+ years in E-Commerce Account Management and/or vendor management, with a proven track record of driving online sales for retailers (buying, merchandising, or marketing).
- 5+ years in sales, business development, or marketing, with a focus on consumer packaged goods (CPG) or similar industries.
- 3+ years of Amazon and/or Chewy experience
- Demonstrated experience in digital marketing with a strong understanding of how to leverage digital marketing tactics (SEO, SEM, paid media, email marketing) to drive sales growth.
- Operations and supply planning experience within E-Commerce
