About the role We are currently seeking experienced and safety‑focused Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians to join our team on a full‑time, ongoing basis supporting operations across APLNG in Gladstone. You’ll be hands‑on in a dynamic site environment where your technical skills and attention to detail help keep critical assets functioning safely and reliably. What we offer Roster – 9 Day Fortnight + additional overtime. Pay rate – Level 7 to Level 8. ($60.83 - $63.48) + allowances All PPE will be supplied. Training and tickets to support career development Job security with a long‑term contract Access to employee discounts and health programs Key Responsibilities Perform electrical and instrumentation installation and commissioning activities to successfully complete project scopes of work. Conduct electrical isolations and troubleshoot faults across plant equipment Work with vendors and specialists to ensure modifications and upgrades are executed to design. Complete disconnections, reconnections, tube bending and related tasks Work safely and collaboratively to meet operational deadlines About you To be considered for this role, it is preferred that you have: Essential skills & experience: QLD Electrical Licence Cert III in Electrotechnology Cert III in Instrumentation (Cert IV highly regarded) Current CPR / LVR EEHA (highly regarded) Construction Induction Working at Heights (within 3 years) Previous shutdown experience, ideally in an LNG environment Strong fault‑finding skills Demonstrated experience calibrating pressure, flow, and level transmitters, as well as valves Experience in electrical isolations, circuit testing, disconnections/reconnections, and tube bending Preferred: High Risk Work Licence – WP Previous LNG experience Valid Driver’s Licence About UGL We’re part of the CIMIC Group and proud to employ people from all walks of life.
