The Opportunity This position works out of our Waikato > Pokeno location in the Abbott Nutrition Supply Chain division. As E&I Engineer, you will perform the assigned maintenance tasks as scoped in the most efficient way for the least cost. Ensure that equipment runs cost effectively and safely at target rates to meet business needs. What You'll Do Collect tools and materials, head to assigned plant and perform the maintenance task, record what they did and what they found so it can be used for continuous improvement. Accountable for meeting maintenance and regulatory standards. Accountable for being involved in engagement actions. Accountable for driving autonomous maintenance skill in production plants This role requires the ability to accurately request and provide information, communicate with fellow staff members organization to improve understanding where it’s needed. Accountable for eliminating maintenance and breakdown related losses at the lowest cost. Accountable for Asset Life Cycle and Early Equipment Management. Accountable for maintenance workflow management. Accountable for operating energy and utilities plant where applicable. Quality, Safety and Environmental Attend regular departmental meetings with relevant manager/supervisor to build in continuous feedback mechanisms. Meet the requirements of ISO by complying with all relevant Quality policies and procedures to ensure the Quality objectives of the business are met. Comply with all relevant company Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and work practices with the intent of preventing or minimizing accidental exposures to self, colleagues and/or the environment. Ensure any PPE provided by the Abbott is worn and maintained. Report any accidents or incidents within 24 hours through allocated system and notify your manager. Conduct Ensure all activities carried out by self and others are in accordance with legislative employment policies, health & safety requirements and global policy. Promote a standard of excellence for quality and customer focus at Abbott. Uphold the Abbot Code of Business Conduct. Live our Abbott Values – Pioneering, Achieving, Caring, Enduring. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Abbott standard operating procedures and policies and always ensure compliance. Completion of all assigned Training to this role by the scheduled due date is mandatory Requirements: An Electrical, Instrumentation or Mechanical Trade qualification is essential. A qualification in Project Management, Dairy Degree/Diploma would be beneficial Installation and maintenance of industrial equipment and components desirable Experience in root cause analysis programmes desirable Familiarity with predictive maintenance tools, systems and processes desirable Location This position is based in Waikato District > Pokeno.
