JOB SUMMARY

Based within the Scottish Prosecution College (SPC), our team plays a vital role in supporting the professional development of staff across the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS). SPC is responsible for designing and delivering high-quality learning experiences that enhance legal, operational capability across the organisation.
As an E-Learning Developer, you will be a key member of the team. You will be responsible for designing and developing digital learning content using a range of authoring tools and learning platforms to ensure content is accurate, engaging, and accessible. You will also be involved in managing learning projects and contributing to the continuous improvement of digital learning across the organisation.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

You must be an experienced digital content professional with a strong understanding of user-centred design principles and the ability to create clear, accessible content that meets user needs. You should be confident working in agile, multidisciplinary teams and comfortable using evidence such as user research and analytics to inform content decisions.
We’re looking for someone who is creative, analytical, empathetic, and detail-oriented — someone who can translate complex
information into clear, accessible content. Strong communication skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset will be essential for success in this role.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experienced in creating accessible, visually appealing eLearning content that meets user needs and supports organisationalgoals
  • Skilled in working within agile, multidisciplinary teams to deliver digital services or products
  • Demonstrated use of evidence such as user research, analytics, and feedback to inform content decisions
  • Track record of managing content across its lifecycle
  • Practical experience applying accessibility and inclusion principles to eLearning and other digital content

Responsibilities

SCOPE OF THE ROLE:

  • Contribute to the overall learning and development of our employees by creating eLearning courses, learningplans and other digital learning.
  • To work on different projects contributing advice on the use of eLearning and digital learning as part of ablended learning approach.
  • Leading on individual projects whist collaborating with colleagues and others.
  • Monitoring and Reporting on responses through feedback and completions information

ROLE SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to design, create and deliver COPFS digital eLearning solutions.
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of the development effort to deliver learning priorities and contribute toagreed solutions.
  • Manage eLearning on our Learning Management System by ensuring SCORM compliant content ispublished.
  • Engage with subject matter experts or commissioning clients to resolve any issues occurring in theconstruction of eLearning or other digital content.
