About The Role We’re looking for a motivated individual who’s curious about how devices work and eager to learn about IT hardware while contributing to a mission-driven team. The E-Recycling Processing Associate plays a key role in ensuring donated electronics are safely, efficiently, and responsibly processed for recycling or refurbishment. Key Responsibilities Dismantle computers and other tech devices for recycling or reuse Accurately track and document equipment intake, inventory, and processing Prepare and palletize items for shipping while maintaining a clean, organized workspace Operate pallet jacks and forklifts safely (training provided) Maintain data-sanitization records in line with R2 and NAID compliance standards (training provided) Meet or exceed performance metrics (KPIs) for daily and weekly goals Support recycling and warehouse efficiency initiatives through teamwork and attention to detail Perform additional duties as assigned Requirements Minimum 1 year of warehouse, recycling, or electronics-related experience preferred Comfortable working with and learning about computer parts and hardware Strong attention to detail, organization, and commitment to safety protocols Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the workday Basic familiarity with computers and data-entry processes Forklift or warehouse equipment experience a plus (but not required) Dependable, adaptable, and self-motivated team player What We Value Genuine interest in people, technology, and digital equity Compassionate, curious, and community-minded Graceful under pressure and adaptable in dynamic situations Collaborative teammate who brings energy and empathy to every interaction Self-motivated and solutions-oriented thinker Previous networking and/or installation experience highly desirable Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting Frequent handling of electronic equipment, pallets, and tools Ability to work in warehouse environments that may not be temperature-controlled Manual dexterity to handle small components and tools Clear communication skills in person and over digital platforms We are a growing non-profit and expect this position to drive continued growth.
