We are looking for a highly motivated, proactive, and organised Executive/Research Assistant with experience in supporting Senior Executives. In this role, you will support the National Children’s Commissioner and the Children’s Rights Team by providing administrative support and research skills.
This full-time / part time, ongoing position / non ongoing position offers a competitive salary range of $75,041- $83,074per annum plus 15.4% superannuation.

• Provide diary management, travel/accommodation arrangements, file and record management, coordination and completion of correspondence, email and telephone calls and management of databases.
• Management of a range of social media platforms/accounts on behalf of the National Children’s Commissioner and Children’s Rights Team.
• Liaising with senior representatives from government, parliament, civil society and business – as well as their assistants.
• Provide budget support to the National Children’s Commissioner and Director Children Rights, including processing paperwork, and reconciling accounts.
• Knowledge and understanding of policy issues related to the wellbeing of children and their families, including their human rights and safety.
• Work collegiately with other members of the executive support team and other internal stakeholders across the Commission in the planning, administration and conduct of the team’s work and in the development and delivery of the Commission’s identified goals and priorities.
• Undertake background research and project support for identified priority areas, as required.
• Draft speeches, presentations and social media posts for the National Children’s Commissioner.
• Assist with preparation, maintenance and reporting of project data, including data entry, using programs such as Excel and Qualtrics.
