This role is created to eliminate manual deployments, reduce production risk, and establish a consistent testing and deployment standard across the entire data pipeline. You will work closely with data engineers, platform teams, and DevOps to raise overall engineering quality and reliability. Key Responsibilities 1) Testing & Quality Build a harmonized testing strategy for PySpark pipelines (unit / integration / end-to-end) Define testing standards, improve code structure for testability Ensure automated validation before production to reduce regression risk 2) CI/CD & Deployment Automation Replace manual deployments with automated CI/CD pipelines Integrate testing into CI/CD, manage artifact versioning and environment promotion (dev/test/prod) Set and monitor quality gates (coverage, build stability, pipeline health) 3) Engineering Excellence Review and improve existing Spark jobs for maintainability & performance Troubleshoot complex Spark / pipeline issues in CI/CD and production Coach/support teams to write clean, modular, testable code Qualifications Must have Background: Data Engineer / Software Engineer (data platform/pipeline) Experience: 3+ years (senior ownership, production pipelines) Skills: Python + PySpark/ Spark, testing (pytest/unit+integration), CI/CD automation (Git-based, deploy to dev/test/prod) Mindset: ownership, cross-team collaboration, drives standardization Nice to have Platform: Databricks / cloud data platform Skills: Docker/container concepts, distributed system testing, coverage/quality gates Additional Information Why BOSCH?
