Description

Perform daily operational tasks associated with the Electric Arc Furnace (EAF), including furnace preparation, handling of consumables, sampling, slag removal, and supporting melting and tapping operations. Follow safe work practices and comply with IMS (QMS, EMS, and OHSAS) standards to ensure production efficiency, equipment reliability, and product quality while maintaining a safe working environment. Operators perform routine operational tasks in accordance with established procedures and safety standards for assigned equipment (Ladle Bay, EAF, FTP, Additive Feeding, LF). They are responsible for monitoring parameters, performing standard adjustments, and maintaining accurate records of operations. Any abnormal condition, deviation, or safety issue must be immediately reported to the supervisor. They work under the direct supervision of the Shift Supervisor but exercise independent responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the FTP system. Operators are empowered to halt unsafe activities or processes when necessary to protect personnel and equipment.
