Audiology South is a professional, and progressive business. We provide a full range of audiological services with a focus on hearing assessments and hearing aid fittings. We are looking for a passionate experienced Ear Nurse to join the Audiology South team in Dunedin. You will work alongside a group of experienced Audiologists and a team of four other Ear Nurses in the Otago and Southland areas. This position is based in Dunedin but some travel to the smaller clinics in Otago (Oamaru, Mosgiel, Balclutha) would be required. The role encompasses all aspects of ear cleaning and ear health assessment and management including use of microsuction and manual techniques for removing ear obstructions under microscope or head scope. Our Ear Nurses also provide advice and education to patients on good ear hygiene and safe hearing practices, and perform basic audiometry. The successful applicant will have demonstrated ear nursing experience, a calm and empathetic manner with patients, and work well in a team. We have close collaboration between the Audiologists and Ear Nurses to provide the most comprehensive service to patients needing help with hearing and ear related issues.
