The ideal ECT/NQT teacher would be someone who has previous experience working in any class within the Primary age range. To be considered, you will need to have a record of ‘Good’ or better classroom practice through placements. Up to date knowledge of the National Curriculum and a working knowledge of schemes, such as White Rose Maths, would be advantageous. A passion for education and the ability to teach in an exciting and engaging way are a must.

Responsibilities for the ECT/NQT role:

• To deliver exciting lessons to match the school’s teaching and learning strategies.
• To work alongside support staff to ensure that the needs of all pupils are met.
• Providing feedback to pupils, in line with the school’s policy.
• To attend meetings and training relevant to this role.
• To communicate effectively with staff, pupil and parents.
• Set clear expectations for behaviour and learning in the classroom.
