Job Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Early Childhood Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment, developing and implementing engaging curriculum, and fostering strong relationships with children, families, and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with young children in a licensed childcare setting
• ECA Certification preferred/ Bachelors of Education
• Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education. Specifically How Does Learning Happen and ELECT document
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Passionate about working with young children and committed to their well-being and development.

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment where children feel valued and respected.
• Foster a love of learning through play-based and child-centered educational approaches.
• Observe, assess and document children’s development, providing individualized support to meet their unique needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child’s progress and development.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-equipped classroom recognizing the environment as a third teacher.
• Adhere to all licensing and accreditation standards, ensuring the health and safety of all children in our care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
