REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience working in childcare in Canada (ECE diploma not required)
• Ability to communicate clearly in English
• Criminal reference check with vulnerable sector screening (clear)
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening
• Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certification
• Flexible to work with different age groups (infants, toddlers, preschool, school age)
• Flexible to travel daily to different centres across Toronto
• Reliable, professional, and adaptable

ABOUT THE ROLE

MeLor is seeking dedicated Early Childhood Assistants (ECAs) to join our supply team supporting childcare centres across Toronto. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with children, adaptable to diverse environments, and eager to contribute to safe, nurturing, and engaging childcare settings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support educators in providing quality care and programming for children of various age groups (infants, toddlers, preschool, and school age).
• Assist with daily routines, activities, and classroom management.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment that promotes children’s learning and development.
• Adapt quickly to different childcare centre environments and staff teams.
• Maintain professional and reliable conduct while representing MeLor at multiple partner sites.
