OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the developmental needs of young children in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering an inclusive atmosphere for all children, including those with disabilities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous classroom experience or background in early childhood education is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A genuine love for teaching and working with young children.
  • Experience in caregiving or similar roles that involve nurturing and supporting children’s development.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of all students.
  • Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for fostering a positive learning environment.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $17.20-$24.87 per hour
    Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week

  • Assist in planning and implementing daily lesson plans and activities that promote learning and development, utilizing How Does Learning Happen.
  • Provide individual support to children, ensuring their needs are met in a safe and engaging environment.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
  • Supervise children during playtime, meals, and transitions between activities to ensure safety and engagement.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to create an inclusive classroom environment that accommodates diverse learning needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom, including preparing materials for lessons.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and any concerns.
