We are seeking passionate and dedicated Montessori educators to join our team on a temporary basis.

JOB SUMMARY:

As a Montessori Assistant Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting the educational needs of children in our Montessori classrooms. You will be responsible for delivering the Montessori curriculum in a dynamic and engaging way while ensuring a smooth and positive learning experience in the absence of the regular teacher.
You should be adaptable, well-organized, and passionate about the Montessori approach to education. This position requires a flexible mindset to ensure that all children are supported in their learning journey.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous teaching experience, preferably in a Montessori setting.
  • Knowledge of child development.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
  • A nurturing, patient, and flexible approach to working with children.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a classroom effectively.
  • First Aid/CPR certification is an advantage.
  • Flexible hours Shifts will range between (7:00-5:15pm)
  • Must have vulnerable sector check
Responsibilities
  • Deliver Montessori lessons and activities across all areas of the curriculum (practical life, sensorial, language, mathematics, culture, etc.).
  • Maintain a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for all children.
  • Ensure the Montessori classroom materials are set up appropriately and that all children are using them effectively.
  • Supervise and guide children’s activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Follow the Montessori principles and practices, including individualized instruction.
  • Observe and assess students’ progress and provide feedback to the regular teacher.
  • Foster independence.
  • Communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents to ensure continuity in learning.
  • Manage classroom behavior using Montessori strategies and maintain a calm and respectful environment.
  • Assist with daily routines such as Snack times, lunchtime, Diapering, Toileting, Outdoor play, and transitions between activities.
