NATURE OF POSITION

We are seeking an Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) to provide care for children aged 30 months – 12 years. Under the instructions of the Site Leader or designate, the ECEA leads children in activities to stimulate and develop their intellectual, physical, and emotional growth. This position would be year round however during school breaks, work would be in Penticton. As the center follows the school calendar for closures.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will have ECEA but, the following 3 ECE courses would be an asset:

• Child Development
• Child Guidance
• Child Health, Safety, and Nutrition

A combination of related training and experience may be considered.

REQUIREMENTS

• Successful completion of a criminal record check with vulnerable sector search
• Standard First Aid and CPR
• Food Safe Certification would be an asset
