We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Early Childhood Educator who demonstrates our values of compassion, accountability, responsiveness, and empowerment to our clients, families and each other.
You will be working as part of a team providing a positive learning environment that supports children’s emotional, social, cognitive, and physical growth and development. Wesley’s Early Childhood Educators care for and observe children each day to understand and foster their interests and provide an engaging and stimulating environment and program.
This position is a unionized, full-time, temporary position. The contract is until January 14, 2027. The rate of pay is $19.21 per hour. The ROP varies from $25.21 -$28.21 per hour based on eligible wage top ups available. This position is 40 hours per week.

• Develop, plan, promote, implement and evaluate day to day operations of the programs with the support of the Supervisor Early Years and other staff.
• Plan and implement programming based on the Ministry of Education’s pedagogy “How Does Learning Happen?”
• Create and maintain a safe learning environment that is responsive to the interests and needs of the children in the program.
• Be familiar with and adhere to licensing requirements per the Ministry of Education, Child Care and Early Years Act (2014).
• Provide quality, play-based learning and supervision of all children in the care of Wesley Urban Ministries at all times.
• Ensure program needs are being met and in compliance with program licensing requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
