The Claresholm Child Care Society, is a non-profit organization located in Claresholm, Alberta, just an hour south of Calgary. We operate a licensed Daycare program for children aged 0months to 5 years of age. Our mission is to provide a warm, secure environment that fosters wonder and discovery in learning.

SUMMARY

We are seeking an Early Childhood Teacher to join our dedicated team at our Daycare Program. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment for young children. Your contributions will help promote their social, intellectual, and creative development through play.

REQUIREMENTS

• Alberta Child Care Certification Level 1, at minimum, prefer Level 2 or Level 3.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire young learners.
• Experience working in a childcare or educational setting is essential.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Experience with in Child care - Ages 0-5 years
• Extremely dependable and wanting to work long term.
• Currently living in Claresholm or local surrounding communities.

• Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programming that promote children’s growth, based on the children’s interests.
• Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
• Collaborate with parents to support each child’s development and well-being.
• Assess children’s progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
• Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging social interaction and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate records of children’s activities and development milestones.
• Work well in small team atmosphere and can work as well independently.
• Work alongside other team members in a classroom, and share classroom responsibilities with other team members.
