Greater Shepparton City Council, situated in the heart of the Goulburn Valley, is the fourth largest provincial centre in Victoria and has a well-developed economy due to its strong agricultural and irrigation base, with major industries related to food processing, manufacturing and transport. The Goulburn Valley is often referred to as ‘The Food Bowl of Australia’ as around 25% of the total value of Victoria’s agricultural production is generated in this area.
Greater Shepparton has a population of approximately 65,000, and an expenditure budget in excess of $118 million. The population is culturally diverse with 9.9% of residents being born overseas. EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR - DIPLOMA (KINDERGARTEN)

Hourly Rate: $30.58 to $32.05 (rate dependent on years of experience)

Greater Shepparton City Council’s Early Years team are seeking Diploma qualified educators to work as additional educators in our Kindergarten programs.

This position is Monday, Thursday, Friday from 9:45am-4:15pm, school terms only.

Applicants must hold the following current qualifications and certificates:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care Education (or actively working towards qualification)
  • Current HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting
  • Current CPR – HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • Criminal History Check (valid within six months).
  • Current and valid Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • Protecting Children – Mandatory reporting and other obligations early childhood
