JOB OVERVIEW

Dover Daycare is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educators (Level 2 or 3) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience. We are currently hiring:

  • 1 Educator for the Toddler Room
  • 1 Educator for the Preschool Room (ages 3–4)

The successful candidates will foster a nurturing and stimulating environment, support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development, and collaborate effectively with families and colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Early Childhood Educator certification (Alberta)
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in childcare or early learning
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification
  • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential.
  • Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
  • Knowledge of special education practices and experience working with individuals with disabilities is desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and effective time management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with classroom management techniques and teaching strategies for young learners.

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that meets the developmental needs of children.

  • Monitor and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to parents on their child’s growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive classroom that accommodates diverse learning needs, including those of children with disabilities.
  • Maintain classroom organization and manage time effectively to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Utilize computer skills for lesson planning, record keeping, and communication with families.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices.
