WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Interact with children to create a safe, healthy, and happy learning environment that supports their emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate programs and activities that foster growth in language, motor skills, creativity, and socialization.
  • Observe and document children’s progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to support individualized learning plans and communicate effectively with families.
  • Collaborate with the Pre-School Supervisor in assessing each child’s needs and contributing to the implementation of the care and learning program.
  • Establish and maintain positive, respectful relationships with children, parents, families, colleagues, and community partners, contributing to a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children by adhering to licensing regulations, health and safety policies, and ensuring children are only released to authorized individuals.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Assist with daily routines such as meal times, toileting, and naps to provide consistent care.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment that meets all regulatory requirements.
  • Support the effective operation of the Pre-School by performing duties as assigned by the Supervisor and relieving the Supervisor as required.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and collaborate with other professionals to continuously improve the quality of care and education.
