Responsibilities

THE ROLE

In this role, you must show a connection with and willingness to advocate for children and Insight Early Learning’s philosophy WISDOM, INNOVATION, SUSTAINABILITY and EQUITY. You will be a great team player, show initiative and confidence, and be ready to PLAY as we operate on a play-based curriculum.
You will be responsible for implementing an approved learning framework and supporting the overall wellbeing, growth, and education of young children. This involves creating a safe, inclusive environment that supports diversity and encourages children to develop self-confidence and self-esteem.

A REGULAR DAY IN THIS ROLE WILL INVOLVE:

  • Actively supervising and interacting with children in your care
  • Supporting children’s learning through investigation and projects
  • Monitor children’s health, nutrition and hygiene while providing emotional support and guidance
  • Closely working with the team to observe and document children’s developmental progress against learning outcomes
  • Ensuring a safe environment is maintained for staff and children
  • Being open to working in any room where support is needed
  • Cleaning duties as required
  • Changing nappies
  • Developing strong relationships with children, your team, families and/or care givers
  • Working in line with Insight’s philosophy, policies and procedures
  • Working closely with the Room Leader and/or Educational Leader to critically reflect on all aspects of the educational program
  • Any ad hoc duties as required
