About the role These positions assist in supporting the whole Early Childhood Education team with the implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate educational programs that reflect children’s needs and meet the requirements of the City of Greater Geelong, State Regulations and Commonwealth Government Guidelines, including the Early Years Learning and Development Framework and the National Quality Standards. Key responsibilities include: * Provide high-quality education and care for children in line with National Regulations, the National Quality Standard (NQS), and Early Years Learning Frameworks. * Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of inclusive educational programs that meet children’s developmental needs and encourage participation. * Ensure children’s health, safety, wellbeing, and active supervision in a safe, caring, and culturally responsive environment. * Build respectful partnerships with families, communities, and early years professionals to support children’s learning and wellbeing outcomes. * Work collaboratively with educators and service staff to maintain program documentation, support daily operations, and contribute to a positive team environment. About you To be successful in this role, you will a Certificate III qualification and have experience in: * Excellent knowledge of the development of children in the 0-6 years age group and proven ability to plan appropriate programs in relation to the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Frameworks. * Ability to evaluate and make recommendations to the leadership team on the planning and implementation of education and care programs within the service. * Experience in undertaking educational program planning to meet the needs of all children within the service. * Ability to establish effective professional relationships with staff from a range of professional backgrounds in relation to the education and needs of children and their families. * Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check and complete a Medical and Functional Assessment as part of the recruitment process.
