QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two-year community college Early Childhood Education (ECE) Diploma, registered with the College of ECE and in good standing.
• Alternative qualifications include a Child and Youth Work Diploma, Bachelor’s in Child Studies, Recreation and Leisure Diploma/Recreation Leadership Degree, or Social Service Worker Diploma.
• High School diploma with a desire to dive into Early Childhood Education.
• Currently enrolled in part-time or online studies related to child studies.
• Up-to-date immunizations and a Police Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector (within the last 6 months).
• Letters of reference if under 19 years of age.
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification.

• Develop and implement engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding children’s progress and needs.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children through adherence to CPR and First Aid protocols.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support children with special needs and disabilities.
• Maintain organized classroom materials and documentation to facilitate learning.
