In our child-led, nature-based program, educators support children to take big leaps—physically, socially, and imaginatively—while grounded in a deep culture of respect and safety. If you have a background in forest or nature-based education and have a calm, confident presence outdoors, prioritizing children’s well-being and safety, we’d love to hear from you.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re seeking an experienced educator who brings both confidence and curiosity—someone who can support children in an outdoor environments with a calm, grounded presence while engaging in reflective, responsive practice.
You might be a great fit if you:
We’re committed to building a team that is inclusive, respectful, and representative of the diverse community we serve. If you bring lived experience or perspectives that help expand our understanding of equity and belonging, we encourage you to apply.
Please send us your CV and a cover letter detailing why you feel this position would be a great fit for you.
This is a full-time, in-ratio position supporting a group of up 16 children aged 3–6. We spend a large portion of our day in Banfield Park, a public park located on along the Gorge Waterway, and in the surrounding community, engaging with the natural world through a lens of curiosity, care, and respect. Rain or shine, we spend time outdoors every day. We believe that all weather is good weather when you’re dressed for it.
Our child-led, play-based approach is guided by theBC Early Learning Framework and rooted in strong relational practice. We value inclusive, responsive programming that honours each child as a unique individual—supporting their identities, interests, and ways of being.
