Richmond daycare is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team. We are providing care for ages 19months – 6 years , located in the SW.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS YOU HAVE:

• Experience working with children aged 19 months - 6 years old.
• Enthusiastic, engaging and a passion for working with children.
• A flexible and positive attitude that is adaptable to change, stress, and daily challenges
• Ability to take the initiative and get things completed in a timely manner
• Must be reliable and responsible
• Knowledgeable with Early Learning and Child Care Regulation and Act
• Early Childhood Educator Certificate OR Diploma/Degree - Level 2 or 3 (REQUIRED)
• Current First Aid Certificate – level B (Required or willing to obtain)
• Calgary Police background check with vulnerable sector search completed within the last 6 months (Required or willing to obtain)

JOB DESCRIPTION

· Observations, planning and implementing programming
· Setting up classroom activities and materials, based on planning and observations
· Work cooperatively as a member of the childcare team, facilitating a team environment through personal behaviour, work contributions, and the sharing of expertise and knowledge
· Provide effective supervision, support classroom routines, and maintain behavioural expectations with children
· Assist children with self-help skills, including feeding, toileting, and diapering.
· Cultivating relationships with children, parents, and guardians.
· Serving meals and snacks.
· Ensure classroom or play environment is kept sanitary and implement a cleaning schedule
