About the role:

Ready to take the next step in your OSHC career? As an OSHC Educator with Team Leader responsibilities, you'll be supported to grow your leadership skills through mentoring, coaching, and professional development. You'll lead a small team of educators, act as the Responsible Person on site, and will have the opportunity to plan exciting experiences, support children's interests, and lead memorable Vacation Care programs that children look forward to during school holidays. From supporting daily operations and building positive family relationships to leading fun and exciting Vacation Care programs, you'll play a key role in creating a safe, inclusive, and child-focused environment where children can thrive.

About you:

We're looking for someone who enjoys building positive relationships with children, is passionate about creating fun and engaging experiences, and is ready to develop their skills and leadership potential.

  • Experience in Outside School Hours Care, Long Day Care or other child-related work 
  • A natural ability to build trust with children, families, and colleagues – A natural ability in establishing trust and maintaining positive, collaborative relationships with children, families, and colleagues. 
  • Confidence to guide and support a small team, and role-model child-safe practice 
  • Current Tasmanian WWVP registration (child-related activity – childcare services) 
  • Understanding of, or willingness to learn the National Quality Framework and Responsible Person duties 
  • First Aid, Child Safety Training and Food Safety Training (or willingness to obtain) 
  • Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (Will be well regarded)
