JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and be committed to fostering a positive learning environment for young children. As an Early Childhood Educator, they will play a crucial role in the development and learning of children, supporting them with creativity and enthusiasm through play-based learning opportunities.

SKILLS

  • Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities and resources effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with children, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to both follow routines and be flexible when necessary.
  • Ability to care for and maintain a classroom environment that promotes learning through play.
  • Familiarity with early childhood education principles and best practices.
  • Previous experience working with children in a child care setting is an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to full time Early Childhood Educators at the end of the work day through engaging with children and and participating in light housekeeping duties.
  • Contribute to creating a safe, nurturing, and fun classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support each child’s growth.
  • Help to guide the behaviour of young children and support them in developing self-confidence and self-regulation skills.
  • Maintain organized classroom materials and resources to enhance the learning experience.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s development and classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with other educators to create an inclusive curriculum that meets diverse needs.
