Description

A supply teacher in a daycare plays an important role in ensuring the continuity of education and care for the children while their regular teacher is away. They are responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for the children, as well as providing age-appropriate activities and lessons that align with the curriculum.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong interpersonal and the ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Professional child care experience is preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. ·
  • Pediatric First Aid/CPR (may be obtained after employment).
  • Strong understanding of child development.
  • Acceptable Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Ability to carry a child with total weight of 50 pounds.
  • Patience and flexibility; ability to manage preschoolers in a calm manner.
  • A nurturing teacher approach exhibiting respect for all and joy for teaching.
    Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual
    Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

  • Assisting with meal times and nap times.
  • Providing a positive role model for the children.
  • Collaborating with other teachers and staff members to plan and implement programs.
  • Following all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to child care.
  • Keeping accurate records of the children’s attendance, behavior, and development.
  • Being flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of the children and the daycare center.
