Responsibilities
  • Follow the established Early Learning framework.
  • Ensure the supervision and safety of the children in the program.
  • Foster the children’s curiosity and facilitating activities based on their interests and needs.
  • Build positive relationships with the children and families.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Informs students and parents/guardians of events using bulletin boards, newsletters, posters, etc.
  • Ensure child to staff ratios are met.
  • Supervise staff and manage conflicts.
  • Provide support to staff.
  • Provide training in Emergency care and procedures to staff.
  • Staff scheduling: including subs are available.
  • Follow licensing guidelines.
  • Plan developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Snack prep and planning.
  • Clear communication with families/children and staff.
  • Ensure childcare space is kept sanitary and implement a cleaning schedule
