Position is for an Early Childhood Educator working with children between the ages of 12 months and 6 years.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Early Childhood Education Level 1, 2 or 3 (or training for level 1)
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desired
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to effectively educate and engage young children in learning activities
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children aged 12 months to 6 years.
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment that promotes learning and growth
  • Provide individualized attention and support to meet the needs of each child
  • Collaborate with other Educators to create a cohesive and engaging activities
  • Monitor and assess children’s progress, documenting observations and maintaining records
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding their child’s development and progress
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
  • Supervise group activities and ensure the health, safety, and development of children
  • Direct and discipline children in a consistent manner that maintains the child’s self esteem
    -Take part in daily cleaning of facilities and weekly responsibilities of cleaning toys, laundry, mats and cubbies
  • Report injuries on the accident report form. Keep guardians informed of any injuries sustained by their child throughout the day
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development training program
  • Maintain First Aid Certification
