Job Summary Brooker Memorial Early Learning and Child Care is seeking an experienced, responsible, nurturing Early Childhood Float Teacher to join our program. We are looking for reliable, energetic and enthusiastic individuals who thrive in a team environment and are passionate about working with children. This position would work as a Float staff covering various classrooms as needed, and may become a Classroom Teaching position at a later date. Key Responsibilities Provide a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for children ages 6 weeks – 9 years old. Participate in the physical care and activities of children, ensuring developmental milestones are supported. Work collaboratively with team members to implement age-appropriate educational activities. Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and health/safety standards. Qualifications A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a licensed child care center is preferred. An associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred. Candidates with a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential may also be considered. Must be at least 18 years of age. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to perform physical activities such as standing for extended periods, bending, stooping, and sitting on the floor. Must possess the agility to move promptly from a seated to a standing position to respond to emergencies. Capable of participating in activities such as dancing, walking, diapering, and cleaning, both indoors and outdoors, in all four seasons. Must have acceptable hearing and visual capabilities to adequately supervise children by sight and sound. Pay range is dependent upon years of experience and level of education.
