Abraham Joshua Heschel School seeks a full-time early childhood & lower school (Grades preschool-5) art teacher to begin in the fall of 2026. The art teacher will work in collaboration with other early childhood & lower school art teachers as well as other faculty members as needed. The ideal candidate should have: * A bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field (a master’s degree is preferred) * Experience working with a variety of materials, including paint, clay, collage, drawing, and construction * Experience / desire to work with other art teacher (s) in a shared space * Passion for teaching young children * An understanding of stages of child development to foster growth and learning * An appreciation for cultivating the artistic process Abraham Joshua Heschel School, located in New York City, is an independent Jewish school, N-12, unaffiliated with any single movement or synagogue.
