EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· A Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, with a Special Education Endorsement, is preferred.
· Masters in Early Childhood Special Education or equivalent.
· At least 5 Years of preschool classroom experience.
· Both Special Education and General Education experience are preferred.
· Experience using My Teaching Strategies Gold Assessment, Creative Curriculum, PELI Literacy Assessment preferred.
· Knowledge and experience with classroom quality tools such as TPOT and CLASS Assessment.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Experience supporting children with IEPs in General Education classrooms.
· Experience with Practice-Based Coaching or other coaching frameworks.
· General knowledge of Special Education, IEPs, and preschool programs including ECSE and Head Start. Strong knowledge of GSRP requirements, policies, and procedures.
· Knowledge of Michigan Childcare Licensing preferred.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Ability to be clear and precise.
· Exceptional organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
· A strong ability to build collaborative professional relationships is required.
· Knowledge and experience with classroom quality tools such as TPOT and CLASS Assessment.
· Ability to be flexible and possess strong problem-solving skills.
· Time management and prioritization skills are needed in order to work on multiple projects at once while prioritizing importance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations, including, but not limited to, visual and/or audio logical appliances and devices to increase mobility.
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach regularly throughout the school day.
· Ability to move quickly in emergencies to ensure student safety.
· Lift 25-50 lbs.
