Description

EARLY CHILDHOOD SUBSTITUTE TEACHER / ASSISTANT TEACHER

Pay: $20–$23/hr (depending on experience and DCYF/DHS qualifications)
Schedule: Flexible, but we are looking for candidates who can work multiple days per week on an ongoing basis.
Location: Multiple childcare centers in the Twin Cities and surrounding suburbs — you choose your assignments.

READ BEFORE APPLYING

We are hiring reliable, long-term substitutes who are ready to work consistently — not just looking for occasional hours or a short-term job.
If you can’t commit to being available for shifts throughout the year, this is not the right position.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience: 2,080 hours as an aide or student intern in a licensed childcare setting.
  • Education: 12 quarter credits (8 semester credits) in Early Childhood Education per DHS/DCYF.
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Transportation: Reliable transportation to travel to assigned centers.
  • Certification: All state-mandated training must be current and kept up to date.

  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and positive classroom environment.
