QUALIFICATIONS

• Current First Aid & CPR Certification
• Criminal record check (with vulnerable sector check)
• Early childhood Supervisor certificate
• Class 5 Driver’s License preferred

SUMMARY OF PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS

• Working as a member of a team, to providing quality child care experiences for the children and their parents.
• Commitment to Professional Development and sharing knowledge with the rest of the team
• To interact with the children in ways that promotes self-confidence, language skills, curiosity, and a desire to learn.
• To carry out physical routines to meet the needs of each child. These opportunities are used to enhance all aspects of the child’s development.
• To use appropriate safety and hygiene practices as outlined in ABC Child Development Centre Policy Manual.
• To complete all necessary forms (i.e., time sheets, accident and incident records) accurately and in a timely fashion.
• To maintain records on each child and to share this information with the parents when appropriate.
• To be knowledgeable of and carry out the standards in the Day Care Regulation and Day Care Licensing Policy Manual.
• To build and maintain relationships with children and adults based on openness, genuine caring, and trust.
• To be knowledgeable and understand the safety policy and procedures and to maintain a safe environment for the children.

Part-time hours: 20-40 per week
Expected start date: May 2023

Salary: $38,408.00-$65,371.00 per year
