WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking a passionate Early Childhood Teacher and pedagogical leader for Sandhills Early Childhood Centre. A permanent part-time position is available, with additional casual opportunities also on offer.

Sandhills resides in the heart of Byron Bay, within walking distance of beaches, recreation grounds, coastal reserves, and the community library and gallery.
You will work with a team of exceptional educators to implement the daily program in line with the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning framework. Our centre welcomes children from 0-5 years and you may work with any age group.

You will have:

  • passion to create a safe, respective and nurturing learning environment
  • dedication and commitment to developing the future of children
  • enthusiasm to engage children and intentionally guide enriching-concepts, provocations, experiences and projects
  • formal qualifications (Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or Bachelor of Educator (Early Childhood and Primary))

We have to offer:

  • one permanent part-time position (2 – 4 days depending on the right candidate)
  • casual opportunities are also available
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Salary and Conditions will be in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award with an appointment at a salary in the range of $46.14 to $53.46 per hour (dependent upon skills and experience)
  • Educators also receive the Federal Government’s worker retention grant payment which equates to about $3/hour

    This position is based at Council’s Sandhills Early Childhood Centre in Byron Bay.
