First Connections is a reputable Early Childhood Education provider dedicated to offering high-quality care and education to children and families in Schofields. We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new service and are seeking passionate and experienced Early Childhood Teachers to join our team!

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor of Early Childhood, Bachelor in Education (Early Childhood) or ACECQA equivalent approved qualification.
  • Current Asthma, Anaphylaxis, CPR & First Aid certificates or willingness to obtain.
  • Child Protection Certificate
  • Current WWCC
  • Previous experience using OWNA would be advantageous but not essential
  • Food Safety Certificate (optional)
  • Programming experience (Knowledge of EYLF)
  • Passionate, caring, friendly, committed person
  • Be confident and show leadership skills and mentor others.
  • Available to work across a variety of shifts between 7am-6pm
Responsibilities
  • A committed ECT who is understands the provision of high-quality educational programs and learning environments.
  • Excellent understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, which includes: National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate a developmentally appropriate program for children.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with the team to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Observe and assess children’s development and progress.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
  • Mentor, guide and provide support to fellow educators.
  • Strong understanding of the importance of family communications and the ability to form partnerships that benefit the children and their ongoing learning
