Position Overview:As an Early Childhood Teacher Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our lead teachers in creating a positive and enriching learning experience for children. You will work collaboratively with the teaching team to facilitate the educational and developmental growth of our students. Responsibilities: Assist Lead Teacher: Collaborate with the lead teacher to plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Supervision: Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment while ensuring the well-being and safety of all children at all times. Engage and Interact: Actively engage with children through play, storytelling, and creative activities, fostering a love for learning. Support Individual Needs: Provide additional support to children with special needs, as required, to ensure they fully participate and benefit from the curriculum. Observation and Reporting: Observe and document children's progress and behavior, sharing insights with the lead teacher and parents. Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents, addressing questions, concerns, and sharing updates on their child's development. Classroom Organization: Assist in maintaining a well-organized classroom with age-appropriate learning materials and resources. Assist with Daily Activities: Assist with mealtime, naptime, and toilet training routines, ensuring children's comfort and well-being. Requirements: - Associate's Degree in Early Childhood or CDA - Previous experience working with toddlers and preschool-aged children - Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education - Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies - Ability to create and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work effectively as part of a team Note: Experience working in a daycare or preschool setting is preferred. Job Type: Contract Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Education: Associate (Preferred) License/Certification: Child Development Associate Certification (Required) Work Location: In person
